Find a Practitioner for Help with Your Negative Moods

If you’d like more mood-optimizing help than the Mood Cure alone provides, you’ll find it here. The following MOOD SPECIALISTS, ADDICTION SPECIALISTS and INTEGRATIVE PSYCHIATRISTS are highly qualified health professionals from throughout the US and abroad. Almost all of them have received extensive training from author Julia Ross. They are skilled in providing effective brain-targeted nutritional therapy, including alternatives to antidepressant drugs (in concert with your prescribing physician). Most can also design nutritional programs to eliminate emotional over-eating, as can Julia’s new Virtual Clinic for Food Cravers.

First, complete these two mood assessment questionnaires and transmit them to any potential practitioner to allow them to see what you need at-a-glance:
(1) The Assess Your Mood Type Questionnaire
(2) The Fine Tuning Your Mood Questionnaire

MOOD SPECIALISTS
Search the practitionerslisted below by the area they serve. They are licensed or certified health professionals from a variety of backgrounds. All have completed at least one year of advanced training at Julia Ross’ NeuroNutrient Therapy Institute, have been certified as NeuroNutrient Therapy Specialists, and go through a re-certification process once a year. (Note the NNTS after their names.) Please contact the practitioners in your local area. Note: most practitioners have not been trained to do entirely virtual work. The only certified NNTS who has a completely virtual practice at this time is Leah Lund, aside from Julia Ross’ Virtual Diet Cure Clinic’s staff, who only provide counseling for those whose primary problems are food craving and overeating. Mood and addiction problems are best dealt with in person, whenever possible.

What kind of help you should expect from these specialists:

1. A mood assessment and individual recommendations for amino acids and other supplements and for dietary improvements. Note: These practitioners do not rely on urine testing. See Julia’s article “Problems with Urinary Neurotransmitter Testing”.

2. Regular follow-ups over at least 12 weeks to make adjustments of amino acid doses to achieve permanent relief of mood, sleep, concentration, energy, or emotional eating issues.

3. Referrals for any needed medical, psychological, or other care.

4. Periodic check-ins after 12 weeks to support sustained progress, if needed.
